WHO ARE CELLOPHANE FLOWERS?

String Quartet & Rock guitarist/ singer create New Music by combining Classical & Rock Music.

Cellophane Flowers create "New Music" by combining the old w the new... elements of classical music fused with modern electronic loops & synth, & interpretive AV to offer a unique concert experience.

Cellophane Flower shows can range from large theatrical productions to more intimate affairs, making them the ideal choice for a variety of events.

Cellophane Flowers offer 3 separate New Music Experiences:

1. “THE BEATLES ARE BACH” features the music of the Fab Four offered up w a Baroque era twist.


2. “SONG BOOK” features interpretations of various  cla​ssic rock standards & contemporary artists including Led Zeppelin, Elton John, & David Bowie, etc...


3. "CHRISTMAS CHRONICLES" is a
musical & visual journey of intertwined, seasonal vignettes featuring narration by Leonard Ford, Susan Aquila & the Paganini String Trio, & Jeff Lubin on guitar & vocals.   

MEET JEFF LUBIN

The casual & conversational vibe of a CF show can be attributed to Jeff's lifelong journey as singer/ songwriter.

The casual & conversational vibe of a CF show can be attributed to Jeff’s lifelong journey as a singer/songwriter & band-leader.  


He was the Musical Director for American Idol spinoff show "The Nueva Estrella Awards" (CBS), a show for which he also wrote the theme song "Shine". Jeff also wrote & co-produced music for multi-platinum recording artist Michalis Hatzigiannis - UNIVERSAL GREECE.


As the lead singer of hard rock band, BIG BANG, he toured with multi-platinum artists EXTREME, WINGER, WHITE LION & ZEBRA.


 

Susan Aquila is a world-class electric violinist.. formerly of the #TransiberianOrchestra, she also performs with #GameOfThrones & The Radio City Xmas Spectacular.

MEET SUSAN AQUILA

Cellophane Flowers also features violinist & vocalist, Susan Aquila.
 

Susan Aquila combines her experience as a classically-trained, concert violinist, with her passion for rock music. 
 

Her unique abilities as a performer have made her one of the most sought after musicians on today’s national music scene.
 

In December, 2017, she performed with GAME OF THRONES  LIVE at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, as well as over 30  performances of the XMAS SPECTACULAR at Radio City Music Hall in NYC.   Susan has also toured at arenas nationwide with multi-platinum  recording artist TRANSIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, and was recently nominated for a  Grammy for her own original work, “Miss Conduct”.

2019 HIGHLIGHTS

We love the annual Fest for Beatle fans in Jersey City, NJ.  It's a wonderful opportunity to come together w kindred spirits, to dance & sing, and to lose yourself in some of the greatest music ever written.


And performing at Strawberry Fields in Central Park for a group of Canadian tourists on a perfect summer day was.. well, it was worth getting up early for... lol!
